Who is MAYU?

MAYU is a Japanese Vocaloid who's created by EXIT TUNES and developed solely for the VOCALOID3 engine. She was released on December 5th, 2012, alongise 2 Special CDs containing songs made by famous Vocaloid producers (and lots of merchandise as well). Her VP is Mayumi Morinaga (aka Senya from Yuuhei Satellite, a doujin group that makes touhou music arrangements. Their songs are amazing, you should give them a try) (^.^)

Her outfit is mainly gothic-lolita inspired with a touch of music instruments feature(such as her skirt having a keyboard pattern on it and her hat which has a speaker attached at the top), the bunny plush she carries around is called Usano Mimi, which also uses as a microphone to sing! Also, she has a small axe behind her back..implying her yandere nature. To conclude, she was illustrated by Hidari.

I remember i was visiting Vocaloid Wiki's site, just to look a few loids, until i stumbled across a small banner at the top of the site which had her face on it, so i tried to search around who she was, and when i found out this vocaloid named MAYU, with such a pretty design..i started to like her a lot. It exactly has been 5 years since i've known her, and i never stopped loving her too. Im not very fond of yandere characters, but ill make it an exception i guess. After knowing her a bit, i went to search some songs, and this video right here popped up at the 1st result, which made me like her voice a lot!!!

Unfortunately she's lost quite the popularity as years went on, and that makes me a little sad, but im always hoping EXIT TUNES wont *fully* abandon her, and that she finally gets an update to VOCALOID6 or gets moved to an entirely different engine, which i wont mind at all. I just want her to shine just like she did back when she was announced :(
